Language access for sensitive human systems

Meaning should survive translation.

/ El significado debe sobrevivir la traducción.

When a family does not speak English, meaning gets lost where it matters most: the counselor's office, the doctor's visit, the school meeting. Optimust builds technology that carries meaning across, and keeps people at the center.

Built in Northeastern Pennsylvania by a bilingual licensed counselor.

The problem, in two words

A person says “estoy bien.” The words mean “I'm fine.” But what they carry can be the truth / and an ordinary translator delivers the words while losing exactly that.

For a tourist, that is fine. For a counselor talking with a family, it is everything. Optimust is built for the conversations where meaning and culture decide what happens next.

Do not take our word for it

/ No nos creas: pruébalo

Three small experiences, right on this page. See what an ordinary translator drops, train your eye to protect privacy, and give the Library a word from your world.

Pick a phrase. Watch the meaning.

These are real phrases our communities use every day. Tap one and compare what an ordinary translator delivers against what Optimust carries across, with a cultural cue from the Life Language Library.

Find what identifies. Keep what matters.

Privacy is a habit, not just an architecture. Tap every detail in this (fictional) note that could identify a real person. The feeling should stay; the identity should go.

“The feeling stays. The identity goes.” That is de-identification, and our DISCORS engine is being built and tested to do it before anything sensitive leaves the room.

Give the Library a word from your world

The Life Language Library grows one contributed word at a time, and every entry is reviewed by a person before it teaches the platform anything. Try the flow here, and notice what we ask before anything else: your permission.

vaina

Thank you. In the real Library, this now enters the review queue where a person reads it, checks it with care, and only then lets it teach the platform. Nothing about you was collected here: just the word you chose to give.

What we build

One platform, with honest status

/ Una plataforma, con estado honesto

Connect Cloud is the primary product. The Life Language Library is the cultural intelligence layer that makes it wise, and the De-ID Lab trains the privacy habits that keep real people safe. We say built when it is built, and in validation when it is in validation.

Optimust Connect Cloud

//working pilot · in validation

Live conversation support for multilingual counseling and school workflows. Each person speaks their own language; the meaning arrives whole, with cultural cues from the Library surfaced to the counselor in session. The human stays in charge of the conversation.

// why not “pilot ready”

Connect works today in live pilot sessions. Before it touches real student data, we are completing an independent infrastructure review and closing every privacy gap it names. We would rather arrive late and safe than fast and exposed. School teams exploring a pilot can start the conversation now.

How we think

AI that asks, not AI that takes

/ IA que pregunta, no IA que toma

People have good reasons to be wary of AI. Optimust was built as the answer we wanted to see.

/

The machine helps; the human decides

A person is always responsible for the final call. Nothing enters our Library without human review. The professional stays in charge of the conversation.

/

Privacy first, by architecture

We are built to know as little about a person as possible: process only what carries the message, keep almost nothing, and remove identifying details before anything sensitive leaves the room. This engineering is active, measured work, and we describe its status honestly.

/

Consent, and the honored no

Participation in our Library is invited, never assumed. Communities decide what is shareable, can withdraw, and share in the value their knowledge creates. A community's no is a complete answer.

/

Honest over impressive

We say built when it is built, in testing when it is in testing, and not yet when it is not yet. Trust is the product; overclaiming would be the one cost we cannot afford.

“If a tool does not serve the grandmother picking up her grandchild from school, it is not finished.”The standard every Optimust tool is held to

For schools and districts

Built for the questions your team will ask

/ Hecho para las preguntas que su equipo va a hacer

  • /Where does the data go? Sessions are not stored as transcripts, and audio is deleted after processing.
  • /Who is accountable? A licensed clinician founded and runs this company.
  • /Is it FERPA-ready? We are completing an independent review and will not deploy on real student data until every gap it finds is closed.

We are looking for one district partner that wants to do this right: a consented, carefully scoped first pilot, with the privacy work finished before a single real conversation.

About

Built from this community, for this community

/ Construido desde esta comunidad, para esta comunidad

A note from the founder

I grew up around the Dominican community of Hazleton, and I became a counselor. In both parts of my life I kept seeing the same thing: language, not ability and not care, deciding which families got served well.

I started Optimust to close that gap the right way, with a promise that a person, never a machine, makes the decisions that matter. If any of this speaks to you, in English o en español, my door is open.
